Ingredients
125g butter
3/4 cup raw sugar
1 egg, whisked
1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
1/2 cup flavouring – choc-chips, nuts, dried fruit etc.
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C and line a tray with baking paper.
- Melt butter and sugar in a pan, then set aside to cool for 15 minutes. Once cooled, add the whisked egg and mix together.
- Sift flour into a large mixing bowl and add in flavourings, then add butter mix and stir until just combined (do not over mix).
- Measure out dough onto the lined tray using a metal spoon to make circles, making sure to leave room for the biscuits to expand in the oven. Cook for 12-15 minutes until golden.
